A Love Nest in Limpopo (11)

As he drove out and she waved him goodbye at the door her cellphone notified her of an email and it was Maggy Mudau acknowledging the receipt of the quotation and securing her next appointment for tomorrow. She wished she could decline that appointment but couldn't...she needed to decipher who this woman is and what her mission was...Madifako ran a bath, soaked herself and got ready to visit some of her clients at their homes.

After several house calls for the day Madifako passed by Clicks Cycad and bought Clear Blue pregnancy test that she once saw advertised on television with a special feature of estimating the duration of the pregnancy (She also secretly wished it could tell who the father is...) She was suddenly feeling sick, cramps in her stomach, nipples sensitive and a bit nauseous...all signs of pregnancy. She dreaded taking the test but when she got home she read the leaflet in the pregnancy test box which advised the best time to take the test would be with the first urine of the day first thing in the morning. She opted to wait for tomorrow morning and she snuggled in her bed and played some music then she dosed off and slept for the remainder of the afternoon into the night.
Madifako was woken from her sleep by a phone call from Motlatjo.
"Mokgotse ke bona gore o lekile go nleletja mogala" (Friend, I see that you tried to call me)
"Yes I did, I need you!"
"Ok I am leaving Meropa Casino from the comedy show, I will pass by your house now on my way home."
"Sharp"
Madifako checked the time, it was 10pm and she got out of the bed headed to her lounge and watched some television whilst waiting for Motlatjo. Motlatjo did not take long to get to Madifako's house. She walked in singing at the top of her voice and excited to see her friend.
"Ke eng chomi? (What's wrong friend?) Why do you look like you have seen a ghost?"
"Eish my friend I am in a mess of a situation."
"Talk to me darling, you know I am the fixer."
"I don't even know where to start. Trevor asked me to marry him."
Motlatjo jumped up and down ululating and broke into a wedding song...
"No wait Motlatjo there's more. The day before Trevor proposed I was with another man."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I slept with another man...worse of it all, without a condom."
"What? Who is this man? Do I know him?"
"I don't think you know him. His name is Maanda."
Motlatjo's eyes widened and she asked, "He is not Maanda Mudau right?"
"Oh Motlatjo his name IS Maanda Mudau."
Motlatjo fell onto the couch and turned pale. "Madifako, Maanda is that guy I was secretly seeing and was not able to tell you who he is because he is married. Maanda ke motho waka mokgotse."(Maanda is my boyfriend friend.)
