Madifako hung up and only got to take a good look at her call log and was thrown off when she noticed that Maanda had called her almost 10 times after she ignored his call and had sent tons more messages on WhatsApp; but what freaked her out most was the picture Maanda sent of himself with Madifako sleeping in bed captioned, "You are all I need."
There was something sickening about that caption. Madifako felt a heavy cloud gather around her. For the first time she allowed herself to listen to the instinct that is informing her that Maanda is a bomb ready to explode and she needed to do all she can to put out that fire. She needed Motlatjo, a friend she had, ever since she could remember. Motlatjo always knew how to deal with a tyrant of a man. Madifako hurriedly dialled Motlatjo and "You have reached the voicemail service of 079 64..." and hung up.
Suddenly Trevor walked out of the bathroom stark naked in all shapes and sizes and Madifako salivated and yearned for that comfort that Trevor seems to manage especially at times like these when she felt conflicted, but yet again Maanda popped back up and killed that trail of thought. She also allowed herself to remember that she has not taken a pregnancy nor HIV test and that gave her cramps in her stomach. First thing in the morning she will need to go to Clicks Cycad and get herself checked out.
Trevor then said, "Baby, I know this is not the most comfortable of conversations to have but Mbali will be here over the weekend and this is one of the things that I feel we need to get over before we get into the lobola negotiations...I want to build our love nest on a clean slate. Please accompany me?!" Madifako's heavy cloud became dark at the thought of her inability to talk to Trevor about Maanda. He would not go ahead with the negotiations and there is no way that Madifako was missing yet another opportunity to walk down the isle.
Madifako then agreed to go with Trevor and he plunged his manly self on top of her and passionately kissed her until all her resistance crumbled. As soon as Trevor rose to the occasion he quickly restrained himself, got dressed and rushed out to Ladanna to fetch his clothes because it was clear he was moving back in. As he drove out and she waved him goodbye at the door her cellphone notified her of an email and it was Maggy Mudau acknowledging the receipt of the quotation and securing her next appointment for tomorrow. She wished she could decline that appointment but couldn't...she needed to decipher who this woman is and what her mission was...

A Love Nest in Limpopo (9)
"Actually, I have a suggestion...can we park the idea of making love until this process is done; create a semi-virgin out of you?" Madifako welcomed that suggestion with open arms as she needed to rid herself of Maanda Mudau's demons.
Trevor kissed Madifako on her forehead and asked to be excused to go make a call to his uncle to tell him the good news. He left the room and Madifako was left still swimming in her guilty thoughts of Maanda Mudau. Somehow the way she is feeling is not the way she expected to feel after a marriage proposal...She did a quick inventory of the situation and realised that:
1. She is getting married to a man 8 years her junior
2. That man is expecting a child with someone else
3. She has recently slept with a man she hardly knows
4. She has 3 kids that belong to 2 other men
5. She was just not sure about all that was happening to her...
Her phone rang and it was Maanda. "What does he want?" thought Madifako. She ignored that call, put the phone on silent and shoved it under her pillow.
"What's wrong angel?" asked Trevor as her hopped onto the bed smiling at his wife-to-be.
"Nothing why?" she said.
"You have this annoyed look on your face, o sharp?"
"I am okay thanks...what is your uncle saying?"
"He is so excited love. He actually made me laugh and said he was about to call me to ask me when I intend to settle down; so rest assured the Mkhabela's are more than happy that this is happening. One thing he told me though is that traditionally he will need your family's postal address so that my family can send an official letter to your family requesting an appointment."
"Oh ok..."
"Oh ok? Girl, give me that postal address. I need to send it to my uncle now. Why do you seem offish?"
"I am not offish Trev...maybe just a little overwhelmed realising that it's happening."
"Yes baby, it's happening you are soon going to be Mrs Madifako Beverly Mkhabela."
Trevor whistled into the bathroom and ran a shower. Madifako took the tray into the kitchen, did the dishes and got back to the bedroom to make the bed and as she took the phone from under the pillow, it rang again...It was Maanda.
"What do you want?", whispered Madifako
"Baby, I need to see you. I have not stopped thinking about you since day before yesterday. Time with you has made me realise what I have been missing in life and baby you are it. Please Madifako...I am begging you!"
"Maanda, I have nothing to say to you and please stop calling me." Madifako hung up and only got to take a good look at her call log and was thrown off when she noticed that Maanda had called her almost 10 times after she ignored his call and had sent tons more messages on WhatsApp; but what freaked her out most was the picture Maanda sent of himself with Madifako sleeping in bed captioned, "You are all I need."

A Love Nest in Limpopo (8)
As he carried Madifako into the house he undressed her and got her into her pyjamas and tucked her in bed; and as he was about to leave, Madifako called out to Trevor and asked him to come sleep next to her and just hold her...Trevor obliged.
When morning broke, Madifako awoke in confusion yet again feeling herself in a man's arms in her bed...It was after a recollection of last night that she remembered that Trevor picked her up from Cubana and probably stayed overnight with her. As she turned over to face Trevor he was wide awake and gave her a smile and said, "Good morning angel."
"Good morning Trev..." AND as if nothing had happened between them they embraced and held onto each other as though they were the last people remaining in the world for one another.
After some time Trevor jumped out of bed and returned to the bedroom with a tray carrying a plate of an omelette, a slice of bread coupled with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice; finished with a long stemmed red rose which has always been Trevor's way of reminding Madifako that he loves her very much. He hadn't served her breakfast in bed in a very long time and this time it literally melted Madifako's heart and she fell instantaneously back in love with Trevor all over again.
"Madifako, we need to talk"
"Yes we do..."
"Look, I don't know what you have been getting up to this past week and I don't care but all I know is that I have wronged the one woman who means the world to me and I am very afraid of losing her." Trevor was saying this with his voice shaky and eyes glistening with tears and all Madifako could do was replay the moment she had with Maanda Mudau and was trying very hard not to expose the guilt that was gripping her yet again. Trevor continued, "Madifako, I know the last time we spoke you wanted to know when I was going to marry you and it had to take Mbali telling me that she is pregnant that I realised that I don't want to be with anyone but you. You have been nothing but a good woman to me and you have been so honest with me that I cannot afford to lose that. So having said that Madifako, it would be an honour to have you agree to be my wife and allow me to love you for as long as I breathe?!"
"Trevor, you are expecting a child with someone else; how can...?"
"Shhh, I know. I am prepared to take responsibility of my actions but I am not prepared to lose you. I know this has hurt you but I will make it a point to heal that pain for the rest of my life as my wife...please say yes and let's do this right...as husband and wife."
"YES TREVOR!"
Mr Trevor Vulani Mkhabela was elated and suddenly looked so mature and ready to be the head of Madifako's house. He stood up chest out and pranced around the bedroom showing Madifako how he is now going to be talking with his left hand in everyone's face because of the ring he will be donning as a married man and all Madifako could do was laugh and laugh and laugh some more. Trevor then said, "Baby, I am going to speak to my uncle and get this ball rolling today! I no longer have time to waste time. Actually, I have a suggestion...can we park the idea of making love until this process is done; create a semi-virgin out of you?" Madifako welcomed that suggestion with open arms as she needed to rid herself of Maanda Mudau's demons.

A love nest in Limpopo (7)
As Madifako was preparing Maggie's quotation she asked for
her full names. "I am Maggy with a 'y' and because o moPedi, I know that
my surname is simple yet always misspelt so I will spell it...M...U (not
O)...D...A...U! Maggy Mudau!
Madifako drank herself to a pulp and went straight for her phone and drunk-dialled Trevor.
"Hello"
"Hi Trevor, I know things are weird between us right now but can you come pick me up from Cubana? I cannot drive in the state I am in.
Without thinking twice Trevor called Jeremy the Maxi Taxi driver to pick him up from Ladanna to fetch his woman. In no time Trevor walked into the restaurant like a hero to save his damsel in clear distress.
As he carried Madifako into the house he undressed her and got her into her pyjamas and tucked her in bed; and as he was about to leave, Madifako called out to Trevor and asked him to come sleep next to her and just hold her...Trevor obliged.
That last name sent shivers down Madifako’s spine
considering that she has just spent a haphazard night with a Maanda Mudau.
Suddenly she was overwhelmed by Maggy’s presence and all sorts of thoughts ran
through her mind. ‘Is this Maanda’s WIFE?’ ‘Could this woman be here to check
me out?’ ‘Is she testing waters?’ ‘Should I run for my life?’ And as the
thoughts were pouring one after the other, Maggy put her hand on Madifako’s
shoulder to ask if she was okay?
Madifako almost jumped out of her skin with fear and Maggy
noticed that she was shook. “Madifako, are you fine?”
“Uhm, yes yes..I am okay, sorry just got distracted there
for a minute. I have just remembered that I have another appointment. I almost
forgot about it.” Maggy said, “Oh sorry honey bunch we did take longer than
expected let me dash I’ve also got a hair appointment with Malik and I must tell you how meticulous he gets with time. Send me the quote via email mudaum@gmail.com …very easy to remember.”
She said this as she was grabbing her handbag, car keys and heading for the
door.
Madifako almost struggled to stand up to walk her client out
as she suddenly became disoriented wishing to ask Maggy if she knew Maanda
Mudau? Madifako stood at the door waved back at Maggy as she drove towards the
gate in her SUV. As the gate closed behind Maggy all Madifako could do was
untie everything…first the jacket needed to get off; the tie undone and skirt
loosened…she needed to breathe.
This was not how she expected her day to pen out. She went
straight for the whisky bottle, poured a tot into a fresh glass and took a gulp
to shake herself back to life. Maggy’s scent lingered in Madifako’s studio and
she needed to get out of there and go for a drive. Madifako went to Cubana at Platinum Park and ordered an entire bottle of wine for herself. There was something unsettling about Maggy Mudau, her consultation felt too coincidental. Madifako drank herself to a pulp and went straight for her phone and drunk-dialled Trevor.

A love nest in Limpopo (6)
She checked her phone (16 missed calls) and remembered that she actually had a client (Maggie) coming in for her first image consultation in the next hour and first impressions last so she needed to get back in the shower, freshen up and rather focus on work because clearly her love department sucks lemons!
As Madifako was tying her black tie to a crisp white shirt and a black jacket tuxedo style with a charcoal pencil skirt all on red stilettos she made a decision that there is no way that 2018 was going to start off like this and continue so complex. Love will have to take the back seat and money making becomes the driver of her life.
She got her mini studio ready for her client and waited for Maggie. She had a real good feeling about this client, she sounded desperate for a complete image overhaul and Madifako understood such a client because it means that the client recognised the importance of looking good...not just at work but at home too to keep the fire burning.
It always amazed her that she managed to awaken the dying flame in many women's lives yet failed dismally to keep her own fire burning especially right now as Trevor was clearly heading for a dead end and 'Maanda must go jump in the lake and drown himself,' she thought. She was not going to allow herself to drift in such negative thoughts because she understood how energies worked and wouldn't want her client catching a negative vibe.
She put on some Nora Jones in the background at minimal volume and allowed that angelic voice to cleanse the air. As if on cue, her phone rang and it was Maggie and she was at the gate. She opened the gate and got out to meet her client.
"Good afternoon Maggie and welcome to I AM IMAGE CONSULTING."
"Good afternoon Madifako it's such a pleasure to meet you and thank you for seeing me"
"Come in, would you like something to drink...tea, coffee, whisky, champagne...what's your poison?" asked Madifako.
"Huuu girl with the stress I am feeling right now I need to ease my nerves with a stiff tot on the rocks of whisky."
Madifako did not expect that one and as she prepared the drink she knew that this is going to be an interesting session. She has interacted with too many women to know what a woman would be going through the moment she goes for a stiff drink at 14:30. But then again, Maggie fit the profile of a monied, stay at home mom, who had everything but still yearns for so much more...that came with the nature of her business.
"There we go..." said Madifako as she handed the whisky over to Maggie and sat infront of her and allowed her a moment to exhale.
"Madifako, I need your help. I have been married for 15 years with 2 boys ages 15 and 12 both now in boarding school in Joburg and recently realised that my husband does not look at me the way he used to 20 years ago. It drives me crazy and I think it's maybe because I have gained weight and just tired of my life and need to feel good again. And when I saw your advert on Facebook it just felt like image therapy was just the thing I needed, and that's why I am here."
"Ok," Madifako said, "Let's rectify something first, your image is yours and nobody else's but yours. You should need my services to feel good about you and not to make sure that your husband looks at you differently. Once you get that right, that would make you attractive...period."
"Wow, I think in the interim I forgot myself. You know what Madifako, I have a good feeling about this and ready to go where you direct me."
The session went on for an entire hour and Madifako was really happy with the outcome of the consultation because Maggie wanted the full package; which meant that Madifako clinched a good 3 month deal which guaranteed her a 5 digit pay cheque every month...a good deal.
"Maggie, I am going to send you a quotation which will include your deposit which must be paid before we begin your next session."
"No problem darling, I feel great already and looking forward to the transition."
As Madifako was preparing Maggie's quotation she asked for her full names. "I am Maggy with a 'y' and because o moPedi (You are Pedi), I know that my surname is simple yet always misspelt so I will spell it...M...U (not O)...D...A...U! Maggy Mudau!

A love nest in Limpopo (5)
It's usually at this point where the issue of the condom would come up but there was no time and space for that as Maanda had lodged himself right inside Madifako and all her resistance crumbled.
Mr Mudau worked on Madifako's body until dawn. They both passed out in each other's arms and sleep was never this peaceful.
It was 11am when Madifako woke up, her head heavy and a little confused. Her eyes opened to a massive mascular back that screamed 'cuddle me.' As she wrapped herself around Maanda, Trevor popped up in thought and guilt gripped Madifako for the double standards she was practicing by being angry at Trevor for sleeping with 031 yet she is here with a man she just met last night.
Madifako suddenly wanted to leave the hotel room and be in her own space and wrap her head around all that is happening. She got up from the bed, headed for the bathroom and got in the shower with the hope of washing off the shame and guilt she was feeling. As she was unsuccessfully scrubbing it all off, Maanda joined her in the shower and as she looked at him, he didn't look as hot as he was last night. She tried hard to pull a smile but he noticed that something was not right, "What's wrong baby?" he asked.
"Ohhh Maanda, I am just overwhelmed, I usually don't do this and am feeling out of my element."
"It's normal love..." he said, as he waltzed out of the shower. 'It's normal?!' Did this man just say it's normal? That threw Madifako off and it left a bitter taste in her mouth. She was sure now that she wanted to leave. Madifako got out of the shower started getting dressed with Maanda doing the same in front of her. She was sitting on the bed as she was squeezing her foot in the stiletto when a wedding band fell out of Maanda's pocket...
Maanda was dumbfounded and couldn't even begin to explain this awkward moment. Madifako stood up looked into Maanda's eyes and said, "I guess this is normal love...thanks Maanda for nothing. You could have kept that ring on and I make my own decision as to whether I want to be here with you or not. Goodbye!"
A walk of shame never felt this hard but she took it in her stride, walked out of the hotel into her car drove off in tears yet again wondering why life had to be so harsh?
As she made a turn into her complex Trevor was parked outside her house with a bouquet of roses in hand, dressed like a million bucks and handsome as ever...Madifako was never ready to face Trevor after yesterday especially looking like the night before. It was evident that she didn't sleep at home and with the trauma that Maanda put her through earlier it was clear to Trevor that there is another man in his space.
"Madifako what have you done?"
"Trevor you are in no position to question me right now...what do you want?"
"I wanted to apologise and ask you to accompany me to CoFi Savannah Mall on Saturday because Mbali from Durban wants to meet and I really can't do this alone."
"Trevor, were you not alone when you impregnated this woman? Why do I then need to be there this time? Let's have an agreement Trevor, you deal with your issues and I deal with mine separately and allow each other time and space to tackle everything."
Trevor got back into his CitiGolf, reversed his car gave Madifako a look with a tinge of disgust and disappointment then drove off, roses and all.
Madifako got into her house and at the same spot as yesterday closed the door and slid to the floor and cried again...
She didn't allow herself to cry as long as she did yesterday because this was now feeling like a habit. She checked her phone (16 missed calls) and remembered that she actually had a client (Maggie) coming in for her first image consultation in the next hour and first impressions last so she needed to get back in the shower, freshen up and rather focus on work because clearly her love department sucks lemons!

A love nest in Limpopo (4)
As they sat down all the both of them could do was look into each other's eyes and laughed with amusement at the chemistry that was so clearly present. Maanda and Madifako chatted the night away as if they were old friends catching up after having not seen each other for a long time.
Madifako lost count of the number of glasses of wine she has had throughout dinner and was feeling a little light headed.
"Shoo...Maanda, I usually don't over indulge in wine so I am definitely tipsy and fast approaching the drunk level, I doubt I will be able to drive myself home..."
"I am well aware because your cheeks are more rosy than when you got here...quite a beautiful sight I must tell you," flirted Maanda.
Madifako excused herself from the table and Maanda stood up (an etiquette that fascinated Madifako because she does not remember any man standing up for her when she stood up...10 points for Maanda). As she tried to move from the table she almost missed her step and wobbled into Maanda's arms and without warning Maanda's lips fell on hers and they kissed for what felt like a lifetime.
It was too poetic...he literally took her breath away as she gasped for air to get her head around what was happening. "Maanda, the idea was to visit the little room."
"And my idea from the moment you walked into this restaurant was to hold you in my arms and kiss you." Madifako leaned in one more time for another kiss to make sure that she was not imagining things. "I will be right back," she whispered into Maanda's ear.
Upon her return, she found Musa the Fusion Boutique Hotel manager with Maanda, Musa was wishing Maanda a pleasant evening further and told him to 'shout' if he needed anything. Maanda had booked a room for them and Madifako did not think twice about spending a night with this man she has just met a couple of hours ago. She felt safe with Maanda and loved being with him.
The moment they walked into the room clothes became heavy and had to come off! Madifako does not remember a time her legs left the floor courtesy of a fellow human being but Maanda took hold of her voluptuous body and lifted her to heights she has never been.
Maanda seemed to have moved in this room with so much ease and familiarity...almost like he lived there. He kissed Madifako from the door to the arm chair, where he knelt in front of her, spread her legs and went straight for her womanhood tongue first.
As Madifako was trying to grasp the pleasure she was experiencing, with her legs around Maanda's shoulders he somehow stood up with her and whisked her to the bed. It's usually at this point where the issue of the condom would come up but there was no time and space for that as Maanda had lodged himself right inside Madifako and all her resistance crumbled.

A love nest in Limpopo (3)
The moment her front door closed behind the shameful Trevor, her knees gave in and she plummeted to the floor and wept. Madifako cried for what felt like years replaying the number of times she had put her needs last to accommodate Trevor and his bullshit.
"...better the devil you know...is a pile of hogwash", she thought. "Can I not fall in love with the devil period?!"
Just at that moment in thought, her phone rang and a warm feeling came gushing from Lord-knows-where because she knows this unsaved number calling and she sat up, gathered strength to sound chirpy and answered the phone.
"Madifako good day."
"Good day my lady, how do you do?" Madifako did not know what that baritone did to her system but what was fluttering in her stomach were not butterflies...she had doves in there. It was Maanda Mudau, a man she has never laid eyes on but found thoroughly exciting just from the sound of his voice. Maanda has been trying to recruit Madifako to join Forever Living, in search of economic emancipation. Maanda got Madifako's number from a mutual friend.
"I hope you don't think I am stalking you," he said, "I seem to be struggling to ignore the wish to meet you. Are you free for dinner tonight?" Madifako, didn't whinge...the thought of being alone tonight was scary. She said, "Oh Maanda, you are in luck. I could do with an outing tonight. Time and place?"
"18:30 Saskia Restaurant?"
"See you there"
"Later then..."
"Sure thing, good bye." Madifako took a quick look at her wrist watch it was 14:30 and she dashed to the bathroom because she only had 4 hours to get ready. Hair-shampooed and conditioned, face-masked and exfoliated, armpits and v-jay-jay-shaved and trimmed and legs self waxed and very smooth. It was then 15:45 and the big question was 'What to wear?'
After emptying her closet with clothes in every corner of her room she finally settled for an off-shoulder black knee length pencil dress which accentuated her African figure, with a pair of diamonds and pearls earrings coupled with a gorgeous necklace and a set of matching traditional Venda cloth clutch bag and stilettos she thought that would put a nice touch to things. Madifako left Bendor Park at 18:00 with no intention of being late for dinner.
Upon arrival she realised that she has no way of identifying him as she has not met him. As she waltzed into the restaurant, she was pleasantly welcomed by one of the waitrons who politely asked if she is alone or joining someone.
"I am joining someone, but between you and me, I have no idea what he looks like." The waiter and Madifako giggled a bit and the waiter said, "There's only two gentlemen in the restaurant sitting alone, I could find him for you..."
"Yes please," as she snuck into the ladies' to check her matte lipstick one last time. Just as she took a glimpse in the mirror, she remembered Trevor and automatically walked to the toilet and flushed without using it...that flushing sound was so symbolic and therapeutic at that moment because it felt as if she was flushing out that thought from her system and moving right along.
As she reappeared in the reception area the waiter had a big smile on his face and said, "If you are Madifako please follow me."
The moment Maanda saw her with the waiter he stood up as Madifako approached the table. "What a fine piece of work Mr Mudau is?" she thought.
"Heaven must be missing an angel," Maanda said, and Madifako outspoken and witty as she always was, today was gobsmacked and all she could do was smile and not know where to look because Maanda was gorgeous to look at. He was clearly a local Uncle Bae with a dash of grey here and there, a body to die for and height that forced her to face the sky just to look at him, an entire TDV (Tall Dark & Venda).
"How are you Madifako?" He was saying this with his arms wide open for a hug which Madifako was pulled into and she held on for dear life and though it lasted a couple of seconds it felt like a lifetime, he smelt like a dream and she didn't want to let go...but had to!
"I am alright Maanda and how are You?"
"Standing in front of You? I am fantastic!"
As Madifako was ready to sit down, Maanda asked her not to as he was still admiring her look.
"Zwithu zwa vhukuma wee!"(Beautiful things)...and all Madifako could do after hearing him say that was giggle like a teenager, she couldn't believe her own behaviour herself. Maanda seemed to have her in the palm of his hand and could do whatever he wants with her. As they sat down all the both of them could do was look into each other's eyes and laughed with amusement at the chemistry that was so clearly present.

A love nest in Limpopo (2)
So 4 years later reality hit and Madifako had to pull a "Trevor we need to talk." Trevor frowned and the look on his face translated to anger, irritation and annoyance. "Ke eng?" Trevor asked Madifako, and she knew that the conversation is not going to go her way but she was ready to face the truth and get some answers from the man who has spent half of his time in 4 years between her thighs.
"Trevor, o ikemisheditje go nnyala neng?" Trevor's eyes rolled out of their sockets and he looked like he was ready to puke! "Madifako, nke o ithute go se bine pele moropa olla, ke dilo mang? Nke omphe sebaka sa goba monna man! This independent woman thing e tlo le bolaya...you need to give me a chance to be the one to ask such a question." Madifako felt an ocean whirl up in her big beautiful brown eyes but she was not going to allow the emotions to take over this conversation.
"Trevor, we have been together for 4 years and I don't see where we are going. I just need to have some clarity. I need to know if we are coming or going? I am ready to settle down Trevor, I want to settle down with you...how do you feel about that?"
Suddenly Trevor's phone rang, 031 was calling AGAIN and he jumped for the cellphone as if he was a paramedic on call. As if that's not enough he went straight for the door...Madifako felt hot from within because her blood was boiling. She looked at the watch to time this conversation. Trevor took 15 minutes on the phone and returned without acknowledging that he and Madifako were in the middle of a serious conversation. "Fok Trevor, mosadi o a dulang a go leletja ke mang?" For the first time in 4 years Trevor looked his age, young and fragile. "Madifako, we need to talk!"
Now those words sent shivers down Madifako's spine. For some odd reason she knew that something was not right. "What is it Trevor?"
"Eish, there is no easy way to say this but I messed up and must be honest with you. You asked me who the woman who called me is...she is someone I met some time ago and I got distracted my baby..." Before he could go any further Madifako asked if Trevor slept with this woman and he said, "Yes my love, and now she says she is pregnant."
Madifako felt her stomach getting loose and she needed the bathroom; not too sure as to what she needed to do exactly, throw up or throw down...and throwing up took over! The pain in the pit of her stomach was unbearable as if her heart broke and settled in her tummy. Tears were now streaming down her face and there was a buzzing sound in her ears...she literally could not handle what she has just heard, even her ears were complaining!
As she walked out of the restroom, Trevor was kneeling at the door looking up as if Madifako was 'Our Father who art in heaven.'
"Baby, please listen to me...I don't want to be with that woman. She actually tricked me because we were at a party at her house and I got drunk and passed out on her couch
...the next thing baby I woke up in her bed naked. I genuinely remember very little about that night though I had flashbacks of her on top of me. I too am in shock about this pregnancy my love. She says she is coming to Polokwane next weekend to talk and to prove that I don't want to be with her I ask you to come with me so that I can tell her that I have a woman whom I love very much and don't want to lose...I have wronged you baby I know but as a praying woman please find it in your heart to forgive me."
Madifako needed to 'throw down'...
Whilst sitting on the toilet, her relationship with Trevor flashed before her eyes. She remembers the weekend he went to Durban in June 2016 with his boys and came back happier than usual and angry at everything-Madifako. That's when 031 started calling and taunting their relationship...now, either this woman is an elephant pregnant for 24 months or Trevor is lying and has been seeing this woman since then and as recent as within 9 months ago conceived a baby! Madifako's stomach was now doing the 100m sprint and she was feeling really sick!
When she got back to the sitting room where Trevor was now mixing water with sugar for Madifako to calm her nerves, she looked at him and said, "Trevor, please go to your flat and give me my space...I need to be alone." He said, "Ahhh Madifako there's nothing in that flat all my stuff is here."
"Please take your things Trevor and leave."
"Madifako, are you leaving me?"
"No, you are leaving me alone Trevor for now, I need to digest it all. I cannot stand the sight of you right now and I don't want to do or say anything I am going to regret."
The moment her front door closed behind the shameful Trevor, Madifako's knees gave in and she plummeted to the floor and wept!

A love nest in Limpopo
When 2018 started, Madifako had a string of resolutions to see through and falling in love was not one of them...not at all...matter of fact she had been contemplating leaving Trevor for sometime now because she had gotten tired of his shenanigans with yet another string, not of resolutions but of women. She had even coined a nickname for him MR NATIONAL because Trevor seemed to have a woman in all 9 provinces of South Africa. If it's not 015 calling it's 012 or 031 and the constant snooping in his phone had gotten the best of her because she couldn't address half the rubbish she came across in his phone with him because Trevor would always defeat her by asking, "Before I answer your question, what were you doing in my phone?" And that would cripple Madifako and that conversation would go pear shaped. Madifako had had it. BUT then again, if she were to leave Trevor where would she find a single man looking for a 40 year old woman with children and baby daddy drama? Where would she find a man in his late 40s early 50s with no baggage filled with stamina, the kind of stamina Trevor the Ben 10 has because after a long day's of work Madifako always looks forward to swinging on the chandelier for her Ben 10 because Trevor is full of energy!
Love had become confusing somewhat, it just didn't make sense and Madifako, a single mother of 3 desperately needed stability and Trevor did not come across as the type that was working towards settling down especially with her. He probably liked the idea of being with a woman 8 years his senior and nothing else...she was a mission and he was to accomplish the mission...probably a story to tell his boys every now and again! 4 years into the relationship Trevor still felt like a stranger to Madifako because their conversations were always on the pillow and never in the study where plans are accomplished...Trevor just had no plan to make an honest woman of Madifako; a reality she did not want face but had to because Maya Angelou once said, " When people show you who they are, believe them." Madifako just didn't want to believe that Trevor 'was just not that into her' she didn't want to believe that he was stringing her along, she didn't want to see it! Besides, how could he not want all of her, she thought? Vuloptuous as she is, curves for Africa, breasts that could feed a nation, a brain as sharp as a dagger and straight as a ruler, a face that melts men of all races yet Trevor just didn't seem to appreciate it enough to put a ring on it!
"2018 had to be a better year..." thought Madifako. She believed there must be more to life than this. A woman should not be fighting to convince a man that she's the one. She needed a man who knew it and wanted it all. So 4 years later reality hit and Madifako had to pull a, "Trevor we need to talk!"
